Sell a Car
The Sell a Car wizard steps you through a simple process to submit your vehicle
to iLuxCars.com. (When you login to the system, you are first shown the Sell a Car
page.)
- Enter your vehicle information. If you know the VIN number, most of the time iLuxCars
can determine the year/make/model/trim of the vehicle. If you know the VIN number
you should enter it in the VIN box and click the link titled "Click here to lookup
VIN." Otherwise, you need enter the year, make, model, and trim using the simple
drop down lists. If for some reason your vehicle isn’t found, you may enter a new
one into the list by clicking on the "I don’t see my Vehicle" link.
- Upload Photo (or use a stock photo). You may choose to add a photo of the vehicle,
a stock photo (if it exists) or none.
- Set Pricing Information. In this step you can give iLuxCars a target price that
you’d like to receive for your vehicle. While the target price isn’t required, it
often will enable us to respond more accurately.
- Confirm and Complete. Almost there, simply review the details of the vehicle and
press Submit. Our experts will immediately start working on a price for your vehicle.
Cars I'm Selling
The "Cars I’m Selling" page gives you a snapshot of your currently active vehicles
that have been submitted to iLuxCars. From this page you can "Accept" or "Reject"
an iLuxCars offer or "Re-Open" an expired deal. (A vehicle expires after 48 hours).
Accepting an Offer
Once we have determined a price for your vehicle, we'll extend an offer. To accept
an offer, click on the "Accept" link of the vehicle that you wish to accept. We
require that you fill out both the VIN and mileage before the transaction is complete.
(If you have already entered this information, you need only to verify in the confirmation
step.)
Rejecting an Offer
If the iLuxCars offer cannot be accepted, you may reject the offer by clicking on
the "Reject" link. You must enter an amount that will be acceptable as your "Target
Price".
Buy a Car
When iLuxCars encounters a vehicle that either meets your profile preferences or matches a specific request, we may offer the vehicle to you. When a vehicle becomes available, you will receive an email message with a brief description of the car. To make an offer on a car, simply enter the amount you are willing to pay, click next, and then commit on the confirmation page. You will receive a confirmation via email immediately and we will notify you if your offer is accepted.

Note that, in accordance with your user agreement, your offer is valid 48 hours from the time it was committed.
Back To TopMy Transactions
All of your transaction history, including your current offers and vehicles for
sale can be found on the "My Transactions" page. In addition, once a deal is complete
(either a purchase or sale) you will be able to view a printable invoice or purchase
order for each vehicle.
My Requests
You may sometimes wish to make specific requests for a particular vehicle. The iLuxCars
system will automatically notify you if we find a vehicle that matches your request.
To enter a request simply click on the "New Vehicle Request" link under the main
tab bar, and fill out the required information.
My Profile
Your profile describes information about you, your contact preferences, and the
types of vehicles in which you are generally interested in buying.
Receiving Notifications
All notifications from iLuxCars will be sent to your email address (same as your
user ID). If you would like additional email addresses copied (a home or business
email address), enter this information in the "Contact Preferences" list.
If you cellular phone is text enabled (and you have a text messaging plan), you
can receive notifications on your cell phone as well. To setup your cell phone for
these messages, click on the “More” button on the My Profile page and select the
item "Setup Text Messaging".
This will open the SMS Setup page. You need to enter your cell phone number and select your carrier from the list. If you carrier isn’t in the list, contact your carrier and ask for the email address to use for your phone to receive text messages).
Once you have entered the correct information, click Finish. A test message will
be sent to you to verify that text messaging is setup properly. If you do not receive
the message in a few minutes, you should contact your carrier and ensure that your
phone is capable of receiving text messages via email. Once you have the correct
email address you may enter it on this page.
Getting Support
At iLuxCars.com, you can chat with one of our representatives while you are on the
site. To start a chat conversation, click on the "Chat" link on the toolbar.
Next, you enter your name to use for the chat session and your question, and one
of our representatives will begin a chat conversation with you. (Note that if we
are temporarily unavailable for chat, you can leave a message. We'll get back to
you as soon as possible.)
